PHOTOGRAPHY

Our Gallery section, curated from the work of photographers who have visited the sanctuary, illustrates many of the unique photographic opportunities available to visitors. The ecosystem here is highly seasonal, and each month offers different subjects to photograph.

In the drier months, Eld’s deer and the two Critically Endangered ibis species visit the water holes we maintain throughout the sanctuary. The cool months of winter see the meadows around the lodge transform into flower carpets; while three regular vulture species visit the feeding station throughout the year. In August and September, the vultures are joined by greater adjutant storks, roaming inland from the flooded Tonle Sap grasslands.

We are actively developing new hide placements to give photographers a closer, disturbance-free experience. Detailed information on where and when certain species can best be seen is available from our expert wildlife guides, and bespoke photography visits can be arranged.
